From 14 July, the museum will be offering guided tours again, in compliance with social distancing rules:
- Group reservation is compulsory.
- Groups are limited to 10 people maximum (we have adjusted our prices, where necessary).
- Each person must wear a mask.
Our guide will welcome you, wearing a mask or visor, and will give each participant headphones for the duration of the visit. These will be disinfected before and after each visit.
GUIDED TOUR: Brussels - the fascinating development of a city
The teenagers will explore the evolution of Brussels down the centuries. They will learn all about key moments in its history: its medieval origins, the two defensive walls which once encircled the city, the spectacular fire of 1695, how little outlying villages became incorporated into the city and the vaulting of the River Senne.

Themes: the development of the market square in the Middle Ages - the square's appearance from the Middle Ages to the 17th century – the main buildings: The Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall) and the Maison du Roi (King’s House) – the bombardment by Louis XIV's troops in 1695 – the reconstruction of the houses at the end of the 17th century and the start of the 18th century – The deterioration of the square before its renovation between 1850-1920. 19th century – The most recent restoration campaigns and listing by UNESCO.
